His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Barrak

He holds a PhD in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He has over 35 years of practical and academic experience in both the public and private sectors. He has risen through the government ranks, most notably as Vice President for Studies, Development, and Follow-up at King Saud University, and then as a member of the Shura Council for three consecutive terms, including six years as Assistant to the Speaker of the Council in 1428 AH (2007 AD). In 1432 AH (2011 AD), a royal decree was issued appointing him Minister of Civil Service. He currently chairs the board of directors of an industrial company in the Kingdom. During his various tenures, he has participated in and chaired several governmental and international committees and councils, as well as participated in numerous conferences and seminars at the local and international levels. He has also authored a number of publications and various papers, most of which focused on legislative, oversight, administrative, and developmental work. He also has a wealth of scientific output related to workforce development and Saudization.
