Through this website, we are pleased to keep pace with the digital transformation taking place in the Kingdom, which is part of an ambitious vision to implement e-government concepts with efficiency and innovation.
Over decades of service, the General Secretariat of the Council of University Affairs has been a cornerstone in the construction and development of higher education, ever since its first torch was lit with the issuance of Royal Decree No. M/8 on 4/6/1414 AH (June 4, 1414 AH), which approved the Higher Education Council Law. Since then, the Secretariat has progressed through three distinct phases, each of which has left an unforgettable mark on the development process:

The first stage
Under the title "General Secretariat of the Higher Education Council," the Council has made more than 1,550 strategic decisions that have had a significant impact on shaping the future of university education.

The second stage
Under the title "The Interim Committee of the Higher Education Council," more than 450 decisions were made during this period to ensure the continuity of work and the development of the education system.

The Third stage
Under the name "General Secretariat of the University Affairs Council," it has so far issued 230 decisions to promote excellence and innovation.
During these phases, the Secretariat has played a pivotal role in supporting the councils, preparing studies, providing the necessary information for decision-making, and monitoring their implementation. It has also contributed to issuing legislative, regulatory, and administrative decisions that have helped address many of the challenges facing university education.
