His Excellency Professor Dr. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam
His Excellency Professor Dr. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam serves as the Secretary General of the Council of Universities Affairs since May 1, 2023. He is an Associate Professor of Public Finance and Governance in the Department of Public Administration at the College of Business Administration at King Saud University. Dr. Al-Bassam has extensive experience in academic administration and public sector management, having served in various leadership positions including Dean of the College of Business Administration at King Saud University and multiple roles at the Institute of Public Administration.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1998 from King Saud University.
- A Master’s degree in Public Administration in 2004 from the Akron University, Ohio, the USA
- Doctorate in Public Administration, Public Finance and Governance in 2012 from Florida Atlantic University in the United States of America.
