Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University

Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University is one of the leading public universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is affiliated with the Council of Universities’ Affairs. Established in1395 AH (1975 AD) it was established as a branch of King Faisal University in Dammam. In 1430 AH (2009 AD), Royal Decree No. (7305/MB) was issued on 9/3/1430 AH to make it independent from King Faisal University and to name it University of Dammam.
Then, the Royal Decree No. (29402) was issued on 2/28/1438 AH, stipulating that its name be changed to Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, which is the current approved name. The university’s main headquarters is located in the city of Dammam, and it includes (18) colleges distributed across three governorates : Dammam, Jubail, and Qatif, and covers a wide range of academic specializations, as follows:
Medical and health specializations include (7) colleges: Medicine, Dentistry Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences in Dammam, Applied Medical Sciences in Jubail, Nursing, and Public Health.
Engineering specializations include (3) colleges: Architecture and Planning, Engineering, and Design.
Scientific specializations include (3) colleges: Computer Science and Information Technology, Science, and Business Administration.
Humanities include (4) colleges: Arts, Education, Sharia and Law, and Sciences and Humanities.
Applied College : It awards university diplomas in a number of specialized specializations, and has two branches in Dammam and Qatif.
