
King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences
King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) is the first university to specialize in health sciences within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and regionally. KSAU-HS operates under the auspices of the Ministry of National Guard and organizationally affiliated with the Ministry of Education.
University Relations and Media Affairs published a brochure to introduce the University to its new students under the title: " Who are we?" The brochure is in Arabic and English. This brochure is designed to familiarize students with University regulations, programs, and curricula in the Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa campuses.
The Brochure explains the academic programs in various medical fields that are offered by the National Guard Health Affairs ( NGHA) which have proven to be critical foundations for the successful inception of the University. Due to the favorable response received for providing exceptional care to individuals across diverse medical and health disciplines, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz issued a royal decree to establish the University on March 6, 2005. KSAU-HS now is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for various programs in the undergraduate and postgraduate stages.
Moreover, the brochure mentions the 7 colleges in the Riyadh campus, 4 colleges in the Jeddah campus, and 3 colleges in the Al Ahsa campus. KSAU-HS also includes the Deanship of Postgraduate Education, Deanship of Admission and Registration, Deanship of Student Affairs, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, Postgraduate Training Center, and the Health Promotion Center.
